Just the other evening, I was hurrying back home form work, when out of nowhere you appeared in front of me. What joy it was, meeting you after such a long time. My eyes lit up and I said a quick thank you to the almighty one for such a sweet surprise. However, I ended up looking hard at your face when you did not return my greeting it was exactly at the moment when the stranger looked at me as though I had gone nuts that I found the folly of my imagination. This is not the first time I have ended up looking like a fool mistaking some stranger to you.
It startles me how deep my attachment with you has become. I find your resemblance in every face that passes by. I see your eyes in some, while others remind me of your deep voice. Yet in others I identify your laughter- that open – throaty laughter of yours which almost swallowed up my heart. I can sympathize with whoever wrote that famous Bollywood movie song……….
Ate jate jo milta hai tum sa lag ta hai
